The project partners being Mazhar Dohadwala and Harshil Shah.

The duration of the project was 2 1/2 months.

We have extensively used C under Windows programming language along with CGI under C, C-ODBC, HTML, O'Rielly Website Server and DBase.

The details of how our project goes is as under :-

When the client first logs on to the site he/she gets the first page wherein he/she has the the options for Reservation, Cancellation and Confirmation of the ticket.

As a practice we have taken Mumbai as a source and catering to four destnations. For every same destination, same date and same class we have allotted five tickets.

As the client clicks on the Reservation link a reservation form comes up wherein the client fills in his/her details and the ticket is booked and the client gets an Identity Number which can be used for futher information about the ticket.

If the reservations are full the client is asked for his/her wish to enter the waiting list.

If the client clicks on the waiting list link a waiting list form comes up wherein the client fills in the details and is entered in the waiting list and the client gets a Waiting List number which can be used for futher information about the ticket .

Now if the client wishes to cancel the ticket the client has to go to the front page and click on the Cancellation link and another page comes up indicating whether the client needs to cancel the reserved ticket or the waiting list number.

On clicking on either of the two links the respective form comes up in which the client will have to enter his/her Identity Number/Waiting List Number and the Date of Travel. On clicking the Submit button the ticket gets cancelled.

Now if the client wishes to check whether the ticket is confirned or not,the client clicks on the Confimation link from the front page and gets the form in which the Identity Number/Waiting List Number and the Date of Travel have to be entered. On clicking the Submit button he/she gets the status of the ticket.
